Abbie a Pioneer....Again!!

Yup.....I got the job at Alleman!!! I was soooo excited...well I still am!! I just had this feeling today when I was getting ready that the call was coming and that I got it! It's such a relief! Now I just gotta get things organized and get my program in order. Ha, just so funny that it's mine...and it's going my way! Such a feeling that can't be put into words!! Who would of thought that I would be at Alleman again...haha! Well this is a great opportunity to get them on a good track and to get my name out there. I'm really excited to meet the girls and their parents. I will be the seniors 4th coach...so thats not fun for them. But I'm hoping they will come in with a good attitude. It would be hard to tho. The athletic director is very exctied to have me and things I will do well for the girls and the school. No pressure!! Haha!! I love pressure anyways. There's going to be a press release I guess....so he said on the phone. Welp....have a good Monday!!

John's Birthday

This past Saturday we all got together to celebrate John's birthday. His real bday is this Wednesday, but everyone couldn't get together on that day. It was nice to see everyone....it all seemed normal other than he wasn't there. His parents came, and it's always nice to see them. Mrs. Gunter isn't doing to good...she says its getting worse for her. I can't even imagine! She gave us all little ornaments with a pic of john and the person that received the oranament. She ended up crying by the end of the night. But its all to be expected...just hard! I just know this Wednesday is going to be so hard for her.... Anyways, I took some pics of that night...we had a lot of fun. Well I can't figure out where the pics are on mom's laptop. So you all are just gonna have to wait! :)

welp i would like to announce that i am officially done with college!!! ahhhh what a relief!! so yes this means that i passed german...haha got a c!! c's get degrees!! im not gonna lie..i was pretty worried about my final grade in that class. i handed in my last paper today, and got the rest of my stuff out of my room. now i just have to turn in my key tomorrow, and eventually pay some of my parking tickets...oopps!! well its davenport, and im not walking 3 miles to my room at night...no...not happening! i will take a ticket! anyways, i really need to go christmas shopping tonight!! but we'll see...as we all know im not a big shopper! :) anyways, i really need to find an apartment so i can get a kitten!! hes gonna be sooo sweet....its just gonna be great! okay...hope everyone has a great day! :)

Last Final!!!

Just to let everyone know...yes I am still alive....I just never have anything real interesting to blog about! But...today I do!!! I am taking my last final......YAY!!! It's for my german class....YIKES!!! I hope it goes well.....oh well. I just wanna take it and get it over with and move the rest of my stuff out and move on! However I still have a 12 page paper to write.....that I've had all semester to do....haha! I work best under pressure I guess. Lets see what else.....oh I'm not moving into the old Moline High School anymore...they jacked up the price. So this week I will be looking around for an apartment! The Alleman athletic director called Coach Eagan (Ambrose bball coach from last year), she is one of my references.....and she thinks I'm gonna get it! That would be grrreeeattt! I have to email the Swing (minor league baseball team) to set up an interview....Abbie's just growing up! Alright I prob should study my german considering I don't know much of it!! It's my BIRTHDAY!!

I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY! I just think it is the greatest day ever.....I have always felt this way. It's something that is yours and you can shine all day! Thank you to everyone who gave me a "shout out" on the blogger. So Tracy...because you knocked my head into a wall....I'm thinking that's how I'm not so hot at math!! HAHA! JK! Anyways, last night I went to the Ambrose/Bradley basketball game at the fieldhouse with dad and Alan. That is the last mens bball game to be played there because they are going to knock it down. I was sooooo sad when I found that out! You just can't do that!! But it was fun to be in there one last time...and who better to share it with than with dad. We always had that special bond with basketball and going to field house. Going in there just brings me back to loving basketball and wanting to play.....I'll miss it! Because I miss those memories. Here are some pics I took last night. It was sooo funny...dad went to the bathroom before the game started (imagine that right). Well anyway he gets back to our seats just in time for the National Anthem...and well I had Alan standing in front of me on the chair in front of us...so we put is popcorn on his sit right...well right when dad gets ready to stand next to us....Alan thought he was going to sit down....and Alan yells, "Grandpa! Don't sit down!!" It was so quiet in there too...haha it was funny!! So sweet! Well tonight I am having a bonfire and then going out to celebrate!!!! I can't wait! I'm off to the mall now to find something to wear!! I'm sure I will have plenty of fun and interesting pics of the night!! BYE!

HEY!!! Long time no talk to!! I know...I haven't posted in awhile....get over it! Nothing new here really.....you know SCHOOL!!!!!! But I'm not talking about that anymore because all Tracy does is yell at me!! HAHA! Actually some good things have happened in the last week or so. I told you about our girls winning our conference...well they won our conference tournament too!! That is a pic of us after the game....like our sweet shirts!! If you go to our website....sau.edu and you click on athletics and women's soccer.....and then go to the recent story section click on the two videos. The first one is of the goal that was scored and the post game when the girls dumped water on Jon. So that was a good time! Now they will play in the 2nd round of regionals on Friday in Des Moines....but I won't be going because that's my BIRTHDAY!!! Just in case you forgot! :) I am turning 21 again! AMAZING HUH!? Well I figured when I did turn 21 I didn't drink....(Jayne can agree with that cause she took me out), that I will celebrate it this year! YAY!! I'm having a bonfire and some friends over and then going out!! I'm pretty excited!

Another exciting thing that happened last week....I applied for a coaching job at Alleman for girls soccer. I had and interview with the AD.....and he said I did good and all that jazz and was impressed with how soon I responded to the opening. Just have to wait and see now. I hope I get it...but I just wish it wasn't ALLEMAN!!! YUCK!!! I've been looking for apartments, but I really don't have any money so that looking only gets me so far! This past Saturday I went to a bonfire at my friend's the Nunn's house. Normally John would have the bonfire...so they decided to have it this year. It was sad at first, but then got better as the night went on. The Gunter's came out and we were all very surprised, but happy to see them. They are doing okay....they have been talking about moving...they just don't like to be home. It can't imagine being them..especially with Halloween on Weds...John's favorite holiday...and the holidays are coming up and his bday! Oh geez!!! But the Red Sox won and I know John had something to do with that!!!! Okay I probably should do that homework or something....nah its over rated!!! CONFERENCE CHAMPS!!!

Yesterday our varsity girls probably had the biggest victory of their collegiate career...yet. We had to win this game to win the conference. We played one of our rivals, Viterbo...and we absolutely hate them!!! The girls came out hard and played very well overall...and come out with a 3-0 win! They were all sooo excited!! I was too...I wish it could have happened last year...it should have. Oh well...but I think Jon (our coach) was more excited. He was sooo giddy..it was cute. It was his first conference title as a coach! Anyways, pretty boring here at school. I am so ready to be done....this scene has gotten old!!! I have 8 weeks..I keep telling myself that! You just come to a point in your college career where you are just done! I'll stick it out...but I'm ready to be done!!!!! Last night I stayed at home with my babies Rosie and Chipper. We watched "Georgia Rule." I didn't like it...at all. I normally like Lindsey Lohan's movies, but not this one. I have so much to do tonight....ARGGG! Tomorrow there is a career fair at Augustana College....so I will be going to that. I hope I find something I like....cause I really don't want to go back to Hyvee.....GROSSSSSS! Okay.....I have an appt with my counselor and I really have nothing more to say. Have a good day! :) Go Bee's!!

Its been awhile

Its been awhile huh...since I've been on here. Well nothing too exciting going on here....just same old stuff! Just classes and soccer. My JV team is now 3-2...and looking good!! And yes AllMetz repetition is the mother of learning. Speaking of Metz....check out his pic...what a stud eh? Its funny tho...right after I took this pic he tripped and fell in front of everyone!! HAHA..no....but I could happen! Anyways, my week as progressively gotten better. I bought an angel book that Tracy had told me about. I love it! I never really thought about angels..ever. But this really has opened up my eyes about them! I can't wait till I see one or tons! It actually gives me goosebumps...but in a good way. I also bought a book by Betty Degeneres...its called "Love, Ellen." So far its really good....I really think everyone should read it. But I really know what you all are thinking....."Abbie bought TWO books, and is reading them...and LIKES them..." Ha...yup....it happens! I was suppose to talk to my lady Amy on Monday, but her little guy was sick...so we had to reschedule for Thursday cause she got sick too! I hope I don't get it!! But we have some stuff to talk about....like usual! The journey isn't easy, but do-able....even when I feel that I can't do it anymore. Mmk...I have to listen to my German...I got a 70.8% on my test...which in that class is a D+. However if I would have gotten a 71% I would have gotten a C-....so round up the 70.8?? Well I already did in my mind! :) Whatever...just pass....and I will be walking before you know it....and moving on with life!!! Have a great day!

USA???

Well as most of you know....well I hope most of you know...the Women's National team lost to Brazil Thursday, 4-0. This is their first time ever beating the United States. It's hard always being on top.....because you have no one to be better than...and everyone wants to beat you. Just the circle of life when it comes to anything. Anyways, the women will play for third against Norway. I hope we can regroup and get a win! Brazil plays Germany...I want Brazil to win because they beat us, but I want Germany to win...well duh...I'm German!! But enough soccer chat for now. I had my first German test today...lets just say it was interesting and I think I made up a few words on my own. HAHA!! I think I past...I dunno....I try not to think about tests. Tomorrow I think I'm going to dad's football game. Today we were watching the highlights from all the football games...and guess was on??? That's right...AL METZ.....he got more air time then anybody..NO JOKE!! Just so happy he didn't trip or something. I really don't have big plans for the weekend..just the football game and hanging out with my new friends my Sterling. We have a JV game Sunday....so hopefully we can make out record 3-2!! That would be great! I'm trying to get back in the groove of running and working out....we'll see how long that last! Okay....I'm going to bed!! Love ya!!

welp my jv team is now 2-2 with a victory today against monmouth...which is kari ann's team. we won 4-1, however their only goal came from kari. it was fun! mom, dad, jayne, annabelle, and alan came...so it was great seeing them there. the girls played well..they were very tired when we were done. on the way there we watched what about bob...lots of them hadnt seen it...and they didnt want to get off the bus to play...they wanted to still watch the movie. they really enjoyed it...i love that movie. his character reminds me of me in a lot of ways when i was growing up with anxiety. its kind of funny to look back on it now, and see a movie like that...just crazy! soooo...im totally procrastinating on my german homework. i started but....i dunno...you can only do so much at one time!! we are getting into writing sentences..and its all confusing..cuz its different than english..well duh! haha! anyways, nothing too exciting this week..just a couple varsity games...they are 2-0 in the conference...which they should win the whole thing! SHOULD..key word. i have an interview at the moline hyvee on tuesday, but i think i have to reschedule it for another day or time...because im going to the varsity game at ashford. so i have some fantastic news...i have about 11 weeks of school left!!! WOOOHOOO!! alrighty....im going to bug sara mae now. enjoy my pics!!

How was everyone's Monday?? Mine was okay...I had a lot of German homework I had to get done before class. But it got done so that's good. Today was an absolutely beautiful day! I am really procrastinating doing my homework tonight....just don't want to. Finance really doesn't interest me...one bit! And strategic management is just lame! So I'm going to work on some soccer stuff....I'm trying to get an indoor team together for this winter. We will be kicking some major booty! Mmk......I'm done because I am not exciting at the moment....but here are some pics from the weekend. And Sara Mae did go for a bit! Love ya!

Saturday Night!!

So Saturday night is finally here and we are going out!!!! I'm so excited...to have some drinks and dance and just not care for a few hours! I went to a club called Fusion last night to meet one of my friends there...well i pretty much was by myself cause her and her partner were fighting...so yeah. Lots of fun...however i meet this small group of people....Eddie, Ashley, and Tim. They are from Sterling, IL. They were so much fun....we went to Village Inn after the club and just talked. So awesome to meet new people..love it! They are coming back tonight to go out...so maybe I'll get some pics to put on here. Anyways, my day was pretty unproductive. I went to dad's freshman game...they won 26-0. Thats good! Then I just mowed and took a nap.....nothing too fun...but relaxing. Now I'm still trying to convince Sara Mae to go out...she will pull something so she doesn't have to go out....oh but she is!!! K, that's pretty much me for today.......see ya later!

Ah yes....last night me and Calie were somewhat bored...so we raided Sara Mae's closest. Don't you love my long shorts?? HAHA!! We had fun...as I'm sure you can tell. Some of pics of Calie showing her soccer skills are quite amusing!! By the way she is wearing my shorts and socks...lil small eh? Sometimes we just crack ourselves up! Anyways, today is 9/11...can't believe it has already been 6 years...crazy! No day will ever feel like that again...even before it happened. The day in general was very eerie...just looking back on it. No terrorist group could ever take over this great nation...they wouldn't know what to do with it.

So....the USA women had their first game early this morning at 4. I set my phone to get up to watch...but I hit the snooze button and went back to sleep!! They played North Korea and tied them 2-2...thats not too good for them. But its the first game....so hopefully they will get there a's in gear and start to play! We need another World Cup title! I had finance this morning...and yeah....it has math in it....we aren't getting along. I just hate those classes where you stare at the bored and nothing looks like english. Oh well just get a c and pass and be done!!! Tomorrow my girls travel to Elgin.....hoping to bring back my first victory at the collegiate level!! The weekend recap

Let's do a little weekend recap..... Friday I had two new girls come to practice and will be joining the jv team this week! So that was pretty exciting! Friday night Calie, Kylie, Steph, and I went to Cheddar's for dinner. It was okay....they really didn't have anything I liked. I hadn't been to that Cheddar's since my junior year with Justin for prom. Oh how I DON'T miss high school dances at all! Anyways, we just came back and played some cards and went to bed. Well actually, Sara Mae was drunk when she got back...which was quite entertaining for a bit...then I went to bed. Saturday....our varsity had a game. So mom, dad, and I went to that. Let me tell you.....I've had more fun in church than watching that soccer game!! HAHA...k maybe not...but seriously!!!! I was falling asleep! This is a team that we should have easily beaten, but got beat 4-1. And we even out shot them...oh well!! I have my little jv team to worry about...we have practice tomorrow and I only have about 8 girls. We have fun tho...they really want to learn, and that makes me feel good. We have a game in Elgin on Wednesday....I hope I have a enough to take with me...and that we play well. K, back to Saturday....ummm...yeah just back and watched tv and went to bed. It was the 3 month marker of John.....so I just felt like laying down and thinking about him. Then Sunday is here today...went to ptown to see the Shorts and Jayne. It was a good day...but I didn't have a lot of energy...this time of the month kind of wears me out....just knowing mentally what took place. However, I will see my counselor tomorrow and I'm sure we will talk about that. Kind of just feel like crying all night....yup, but I won't. I'm hefty hefty hefty!! And not whimpy whimpy whimpy!! Mmk.....I have to start on my German....big vocab quiz tomorrow!!! UH OH!!! Tschus....(good-bye in German!) ;)

Homecoming Date

Hey everyone....the varsity result is not good for Ambrose...we lost 2-1. So glad that I didn't go...it is always a very long ride home when you lose!! Anyways, you're probably wondering about my title....the picture to your right is of me and John Boeh. I took him to my junior homecoming. He is home from Alabama till Wednesday. He is in the ARMY and has been to Iraq twice, but is doing aviation training in Alabama and is almost done. It's so great to be friends with soldiers....their stories are just amazing. They don't get nearly enough credit for what they do! I always thank a soldier especially my friends that have gone over. They know about whats going on than anybody...so yeah! But we had a good time this weekend hanging out. Neither of us have changed much. Jayne you might remember him..I think you took some pics of us that night.

Well my Sunday was very very unproductive!!! I went home to be with Bailey since the 'rents were in ptown. I intended on being a good student and brought my book bag to read, but I ate pizza, watched tv, and took a nice long nap!! So clearly, I am not a good student, but very normal!! It's so hard to read books that are not interesting like Finance or Strategic Management...yeah not so much!! I'll skim'em, but not reading them....there just aren't enough pictures!! :) So I think I am going to get master's degree starting next fall. I'm going to go for Organizational Leadership..now I really have no clue what it means, but it sounds good and will be good for my major. As long as theres no math...I'm good to go! Mmk....I have a headache tonight....so I'm heading to bed...you all in bed anyways at this time...(midnight). Tomorrow I have to paint the field...I think we have located the paint finally! That means its gonna be a good day! Hope everyone has a great Labor Day!!!

Oh, by the way....I wasn't off by much on calling dad's line. He did say the average person line, but not what I predicted. I think he said would have broken their leg. Oh Metz...what are we going to do with you!!!!!
